There is a LOT to like about this bicycle. Unfortunately, the documentation is not one of them. I am a retired Quality Systems Manager and Nuclear Technician. So, I demand precision and quality. I gave four stars because although the bicycle itself possesses these attributes, the documentation provided left much to be desired. No actual operational instructions were provided. Simple slap together instructions for the assembly and a quick note on a few of the functions of the computer. Certainly no details about the functions of the computer and absolutely no instructions on how to ride the bicycle. All of that aside, this is a fantastic machine! I weigh 225 lbs., and I can ride it nearly all day long without worrying about it running out of power. I've even noticed it charging itself going down hills! The lockable front suspension is very nice. I added a rear view mirror and water bottle holder. It's 21 speeds (3x7), not 7 as shown in some online posts. I usually leave the front sprocket in high gear, but sometimes leave it in the middle if I'm going slow. If the battery ever runs out, which has not yet happened during a day trip, it's nice to know that the lowest 3rd gear up front is available. I replaced the seat because I thought the stock one was too skinny. I am 6'2", so I added a gooseneck extender in order to raise up the handlebars. After assembling it, I had to take it into a shop to get the front disc brake adjusted; it was squeaking. That was a little bit of a bother but didn't take much to repair. Otherwise, this is a very fine machine and I have been riding it a lot. My advice is to charge the battery after every ride! Keep the battery indoors! I purchased this during a Black Friday event so I won't even embarrass you by telling you how little I paid. Every cent was worth it! At nearly twice the price, this bike is worth it!

Wow, this bike is amazing! I was incredibly skeptical and there were not many reviews yet either... but woah is this thing super nice and so much fun!

It took me about 4-5 hours to assemble and adjust everything, including a few short test rides without connecting the battery yet. It feels great riding it even without the battery, btw.

The instructions are fairly terrible, but it is not difficult to figure out. I have only assembled one other bike before, so I am no expert. Another review mentioned that the lcd display is an S830, and looking up how to operate it on YouTube was super helpful.

I bought and assembled two of these and my wife and I have been giggling like little kids again as we zoom past everyone on the trails. The battery has been impressive so far as well.

I am so happy with this purchase!

I chose this bike, because it was returnable which is important when you buy an expensive item like this. although it showed it was from New york the manufacturer was over seas so I was a little nervous in its quality but it is very nice and sturdy

Update: I like the bike a lot, but customer service is beyond horrific. I had a small plastic piece that I noticed was broken and would like to get a replacement since it came like that. It probably costs 3 dollars to replace. After 7 emails, I'm still not getting an answer. I'm starting to think their customer service is nothing more than a chatbot. I've reduced my rating from 5 to 3 and if it's not resolved by Friday, it will be further reduced to 1.

Update Number 2: Same runaround answer from their so called "customer service". It's apparently a chatbot. Review reduced to 1 star. The bike itself isn't bad, but if you need anything, or if something breaks or you need a replacement part, you're on your own. Maybe the worst customer service I've ever run into. It's non existent. Pitiful.

I ordered this bike on a Sunday and it shipped that night, receiving it on Wednesday the same week. Putting it together is not difficult although the manual is kind of worthless. It took about 2 hours, mainly just adjusting the location of all the controls, display, and headlight to where I was comfortable. The battery charged in about 3 hours to 100% so off I went on my first ride. Wow is all I can say! It's much more powerful than I ever imagined and took my 180 pound body easily up some hills that I thought it would never make. It's solidly built and although I'm going to change the slimline seat on it, it's features more than justify the price. The best feature of all is the cruise control! It's not explained in the manual how to use it, as well as most of the features it has, but there are tons of videos on youtube that explain how to program the S830 display. Mine came showing everything in kilometers, but it's easily changed to miles as explained in those videos. I rode a total of 17 miles today, 2/3 of that in throttle only with about 1/3 in Pedal Assist and have 70% battery left! All in all, I'm very satisfied, especially at this price point. I rode it briefly as a bicycle only while I waited for the battery to charge, and it is a good bike without the motor even! It's also a great looking bike! I would definitely recommend this bike to someone wanting not to spend a fortune on an ebike. One caveat: Change the tires and/or tubes right away as the ones they come with are very thin and cheap and you WILL get flats. Two flats in two days for me. I had them on order already so I will change them as soon as I get them. You have to do that on almost any bike however unless it's a high end bike with expensive tires and tubes. Come on GoTrax!!! Spend a few dollars and upgrade those tires and tubes!!!

 The GOTRAX EBE2 is exactly what i was looking for in a bike. I use to ride my normal bike to work everyday and over time my knees and back began to hurt from past college sport injuries which made me not want to ride any more . This made me upset because i enjoy my daily ride to work in the mornings and i also enjoy the satisfaction of knowing i am helping the environment as well. So once i saw the EBE2 i knew i needed to give it a try. This bike is truly worth the money, with a massive 50 miles per battery charge i rarely find my self charging it. It goes 20mph and has a great pedal assist option that truly takes some pressure off my knees. In full honesty this bike is just a great time. If you are an avid bike rider or just the occasional novice this bike is perfect for you.

This bike is was right. It is worth the price. Ive had it for almost 3years and i have plot 5200km on nI so far, and everything still works on it. Only replaced brakes pads and tires from normal wear. I use it almost everyday and also for work. Batterry is still working as usual. Came with a strong kickstand' can hold 2 bags groceries on each side of handles bars by itself with ease. Usb charger, front and rear fenders, head light, disk brakes, thick steering aluminum 26' rims, all of good quality. No real big issues.
Seat post is short at its highest, has no rear suspension, small tire tread, but i got over it and replaced with my own liking.
Satisfied customer. I have also recommend this bike to 3 co workers , who have also purchased this bike and are happy.

We bought two of the same e-bikes, one for myself and one for my partner. It was fairly easy to assemble in a timely fashion. Manual has very little information on technical questions regarding battery etc. We had to google and use youtube to find some potential solutions to our problem. Sadly both batteries are dead and we are not able to charge them and this is coming out of the box. I cannot comment on how the bike works as our batteries are both dead. We have emailed the company....Gotrax Canada in hopes to get new batteries.....but to no avail and this was 4 days ago. Unfortunately Gotrax does not have a 1-800 or telephone number to contact customer service. The only option is email. I contacted Gotrax USA by telephone however they told me they were unable to help and I would need to contact Gotrax Canada. Soooo unfortunately we will have no choice but to return both bikes. We decided against using ordering ebikes through Amazon given the poor customer service from Gotrax. We will go to a local bike shop and pay more so we do not encounter this lack of customer service.

I'm super happy with this e-bike! It looks cool and classy, and the best part is, it came almost ready to roll, just needed a bit of easy assembly. So convenient, I put it together all by myself!

And the battery is really good, exceeding my expectations. One full charge lasts a long time. The power it gives is awesome. I ride it every day to work, even tackle this big uphill, but with the battery assist, it's a breeze! The ride is smooth and stable, with five speed options, though I usually stick to the second gear – plenty fast for me. Acceleration is steady, no sudden bursts of speed, so it feels safe. Plus, the battery can be easily detached for quick charging. Sometimes when I'm in the mood for some off-road biking, I just take the battery off and use it as a mountain bike.
