I have purchased Skagen watches for 7 years now and I love them. Everything about this watch is perfect, except it is not nearly as pink as in the photos. It's more of a light gold color. I had to look at my order history because I thought I might have bought the gold faced option on accident. I still like the color, but if you are expecting pink, you'll be disappointed.

This is a stunningly beautiful well-made deluxe Skagen watch. It is my second Skagen. I love Skagen's adjustable band that you can adjust yourself with a precision screwdriver, videos on how to adjust a Skagen are easy to find online. This one is everything one expects of a Skagen and a few more luxury features than a basic model. I bought my last Skagen 10 years ago and it had a single color (silver) band and a white face -- this new one has a more deluxe fabulous textured band in stripes of 2 colors-- photos do not do the multi-color band justice, it is very very beautiful to see and interesting to touch the texture -- the gold colored stripes are slightly lower than the silver stripes, all the while being a high quality band one can expect from Skagen (way better than the metal mesh bands being sold on Fossil smart hybrid watches). The face is mother of pearl, little crystals on the hours, and has a date display -- which my last Skagen did not have. From what I can tell after receiving it today, you will have to wind forward to set the date for the first time, as well as after the end of months that have less than 31 days, in order to keep the date display current. This is not a big deal for me, as I wear this new watch for beauty and basic time telling as a fashion watch. I have a different smart watch I wear for tech and fitness features (a Fossil smart watch with a mesh band that is not as high quality a band). Skagen is a high quality fashion watch. My last Skagen I had for 10 years and only had to replace the battery a few times. My last Skagen still works but has scratches and chips on the glass after 10 years, it could be restored if I wanted, however I really wanted this model and so far am very impressed by it.

I am SO pleased with my purchase of this watch. It is beautiful in the picture but much more beautiful in person. I flip flop between gold and silver jewelry quite a bit and wanted something that was versatile. I also have VERY small wrists so being able to easily adjust the band and not having a giant face or band is really important. This watch looks classy and delicate. I absolutely love the two-tone mesh band. It took me about two seconds to shorten the band to my wrist length. I also read some of the reviews regarding the band coming loose so I took a punch and put two taps into the indent that holds the clasp on each side (I have this for gunsmithing but I'm sure if you stopped into any of those watch stores in the mall they could fix it in a second). That was probably more than was needed as it now takes me a second to get it undone. It is a bit of an odd clasp and I understand others reluctance to pay for a high end watch and then have to make an adjustment but the reality is this is a good price for a quality item. I've paid much more for watches that I wasn't nearly as pleased with and don't mind two seconds of prep work for what will likely become a stable of my work wardrobe.

Conservative elegance, quality of workmanship, and slim design & easy adjustable fit. I've only worn this watch for a week and love the style. I like to wear a mixture of yellow, white gold or silver jewelry from time to time but don't like switching watches to match. Although this watch uses highly polished stainless steel as its primary finish, yellow gold on most watches tends to wear away over a relatively short period of time due to normal wear and tear. Skagen has cleverly placed the gold finish on the band in "ribbons" recessed in the slightly textured mesh band with the fasteners and most of the face in highly polished stainless steel. Another very clever feature in the design is the gold tone ring around the face and the date circle, the gold is placed beneath the watches crystal, thus preserving the gold finish. This plus the beautiful gold 3 hand face on mother of pearl with crystals in place of numbers, I perceive this watch will retain its beauty over years of wear.
Since I am a new fan of this watch brand, I cannot yet comment on its water resistance, or durability of the movement. Thus far it's a real winner! I am a former fan of Invicta watches which are beautiful on the outside but mine only lasted a year or two so at least for now Skagen is my new favorite. Will add to this post if the watch fails to meet my expectations.

This is a beautiful watch, well made, smooth finishing on strap. Mother of Pearl face shimmers different colours in sunlight. I've worn it several times and it is very lightweight and comfortable to wear. I found the strap easy to adjust to correct size but you do need to ensure you press hard to fully engage the clasp so it doesn't move on the strap (I learnt this from another Skagen I have - same watch but in black which I've had for about 5 or 6 years). Once it is properly fitted it won't slide off and you only have to do it the once. I found with my black Skagen battery lasted about 2 years so I hope this will be similar. I can read the date ok up to 19th but once it hits 20 and you have two "rounded" figures together it is difficult. Having said that I would rarely look at my watch for the date anyway but have marked down a star for this as I know it may be an issue for others. I don't have a problem just glancing at the watch to tell the time, the second hand extends out from the centre point whereas the minute hand doesn't. Again, I'm probably just used to it from having the same watch in another colour. Based on my experience, I would recommend this watch. Oh, and it was beautifully presented on a cushion in a blue Skagen box with a protective covering over the face.
