Handy Ontario/RAT Model II Folding Knife
5 Stars
Handy Ontario/RAT Model II Folding Knife
I am a woman with small hands. I wear a small size glove and a size 6 ring. I was looking for a knife that would fit discretely in my hand that could not be easily removed if I needed to use it for defense. My sister’s policeman friend recommended this knife. When I first received it, I was disappointed because there was a video on Amazon that made it look like it opened like a switch blade. The guy who posted that video must have practiced considerably to be able to open it as fast as he did on the video. See my video on how it actually opens and closes in the hands of a novice! After my initial disappointment, I have since come to really appreciate this knife. It’s small, takes up no room in my purse, and I am able to tightly grip it in the event I needed to use it for self defense. One time my son was trimming hedges and he asked to borrow it because the neighbors had let their pit bulls out and they were trying to get at him through the fence. Fortunately, he didn’t need to use it. In the meantime, I use it just like a personal pocket knife and carry it in my purse or on my person when I go walking or jogging.
